We have moved on from the bustling Mooloolaba and the generous hospitality of Nick and Cam. Staying with them and our beautiful nieces has been loads of laughs - card games where I had difficulty keeping up with the speed and Nick and I found ourselves nattering whilst Pete and girls were competing loudly. Tilly has been a joy - mastering her rolling over technique and making us all laugh with her chatting, gurgling and smiles. Jemma's description is spot-on: she is a 'time - suck'. Watched Cam play bowls in Moorychydore. Restful for us, but not so for Cam, whose club lost.
Drove the Pacific Highway to Yamba, a very sleepy town sandwiched between river and sea. Lots of big boats again and glittering water. Our overnight stay has been in the Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort, where we have a tropical cabin - an oversized caravan type hut that reminds us of boat living. very comfortable and clean and a pretty swimming pool for a late afternoon swim amongst the palm trees and red breasted noisy parrots completed our pleasure. We had a good dinner out and met a magazine editor and her south African photographer husband, who were somewhat overwhelming and bought us a glass of wine. They seemed to know everyone in the restaurant even though they live in Brisbane and were only there for a photo shoot. Real party people. She gave us her number and ordered us to look them up when we get back to Brisbane! I get the feeling that we might be greeted with "who?" if we do that!
Hey ho, all good experience!

Good to hear from you and with tales of English planting which I would be doing about now too. It's fun doing the blog but sometimes we have no wifi, so it's in fits and starts.
