Strikes me that Aussies are open and friendly as we all know. But more than that there is no pretence, and it is so refreshing to chat to any age group and feel on a level with them. Moreover, they show an interest in you, as well as you in them, that's so rare now in Britain.
Reminds me of Matt who I worked with who was brought up here. Us older women all agreed he was a breath of fresh air in our working environment. And, to him, his interaction with us was perfectly ordinary.
Australians are a warm bunch!
